Monterrey

What an amazing looking place Monterrey is! Wow. I had no idea where it was - I'd assumed it may have been a coastal resort on the Gulf or something, had no idea. But that's a pretty dramatic picture.

There's full tv coverage of center court matches this week. Last week there was no coverage available at all in Europe of Acapulco and only the sf's and final of Kuala Lumpur - very poor. So it was surprising to see so much coverage available this week, though not via satellite but over the internet.

Monday's matches were a poor bunch. Think it was the first time there's ever been live streaming and betting on a qualifier match! Didn't pull the trigger on any of them, managing to dodge a bullet when Lucie Safarova surprisingly lost, but she was just too short to back in a 1r match. AMG also lost to an inspired performance from "Kookie" Klara Zakopalova nee Koukalova.

8 of the 11 favs won last night, with a high profile loss by JJ. A shame as she even went there a few days early to prepare. Other losing favs were Craybas and Savchuk.
Felt much more comfortable with betting on yesterday's matches, notching up a nice day's results. Also had small wins on the cricket and the NHL, back from the Olympic break.
